Starálfur means "Staring Elf", it's a song by the wonderful Islandic band Sigur Rós. I made this piece as a homage to the outlandish and very unique beauty of their songs.
Those who know the band might possibly as well know that they have a fan artwork section at their official website. So I decided to send them the pic and hope that they'll like it.
Those who don't know Sigur Rós should immediately go and buy one of their records.

Usually I draw girls who look like boys, this time it's a boy that looks like a girl... is that information useful? No, but thanks for reading. Btw, just in case anybody wonders, he indeed has a cleft lip.

i love this pick- clean lines - excellent color - and the sharpness that you captured in the cleft lip is spot on - looks a little like my scar
